While the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been working itself into a frenzy over the potential release of the Avengers 4 trailer, Marvel have instead decided to drop a new look at one of their other MCU movies: Captain Marvel.

As they teased on Sunday, the new Captain Marvel dropped during ESPN's Monday Night Football game (accompanied by a snazzy poster), and gives us our best look yet at the MCU's next instalment, which stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers. Like with the first teaser, the focus is very much on Danvers/Captain Marvel herself here, although there's also more action and a few intriguing plot hints here, including a look at Annette Bening, who teases parts of Carol's origin story, more of the Skrulls, including the second part of that old-woman-on-a-train fight, Captain Marvel looking like a superpowered badass, a tease of the Kree-Skrull War, and a few heavy Top Gun vibes (including her cat now being called Goose).

Captain Marvel is the last stop on the road to Avengers 4, and is going to be hugely important. Not only does it introduce the MCU's most powerful superhero to date, but it'll also have links to the Quantum Realm, and of course the character herself was heavily teased at the end of Infinity War. Thankfully, based on this trailer, it's also going to be pretty good too.
