Olivia Munn Totally Did All Her Own Stunts In X-Men: Apocalypse

Exactly what you want out of someone playing Psylocke.

Besides looking like she stepped right out of the pages of the comics, Olivia Munn is also bringing her A game for this adaptation of the character by doing all her own stunts, too. In an interview with ET Online at the Sci-Tech Awards, Munn spoke about why she wanted to do all her own acrobatics when there was a stunt team readily available;
"That was me from the beginning to the end... That was a really cool thing to feel like when I showed up on set I was like, "Oh wait, I can do this! Throw me onto a wire, give me a sword €“ I'm good!'". Psylocke is such a powerful, lethal character... It was important to me that I was able to do all of the stunts because the more believable it is, the better it is for the audience -- and the only way to make it believable is for me to actually do it."
Sound logic. I'm all for actors doing their own action stunts; even more so when it's a hot, badass woman. It's awesome that Munn knows and respects the character enough to want to do her justice - although it shouldn't come as a surprise, considering all her geek cred built up from years hosting Attack Of The Show. Considering the absolute glut of mutants in this film, fans shouldn't get carried away with ideas of how much screentime Munn might have - from the trailers, it looks like she's filling the chop-socky quota more than anything else. X-Men: Apocalypse is released on 19 May in the UK and 27 May in the US.
