Oscars: 10 Worst Films Ever Nominated

patch adams This Sunday evening, the 85th Academy Awards will honour and celebrate the best that film had to offer in 2012. Every year however, critics and the viewing public offer very logical reasons as to why certain films were nominated yet others were harshly left out. For example, one of my favourite films of 2012, The Master, was left out of the Best Picture nominees list and the Cinematography category. Though, every now and again, a strange occurrence happens when a truly miserable film pops up to receive a nomination. Receiving a nomination should indicate that the film is indicative of it; it€™s an honour to receive one, deserving to be placed among the years very best. However, numerous films in the past have never been nominated for a single award yet the films on this list got the nod of approval in their respective categories. Admittedly, the films here aren€™t going to be hunting for the Best Picture or Best Actor/Actress awards. Here most films have received nominations in the more technical aspects of film, something which may explain, I use the term loosely, why The Academy saw fit to nominate some of the most average and inconsequential films ever made.
