Oscars: 10 Worst Films Ever Nominated

10. The Wolfman (Best Makeup)

The Wolfman The 2010 remake of the 1941 classic stars Benicio del Toro as The Wolfman, along with Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt and Hugo Weaving in a film that is grand in its aesthetic but severely lacking in anything of substance. Critics were lukewarm in their responses to the film, commenting that the film doesn€™t provide any of the thrills that one may expect and without any suspense; the film really doesn€™t have much to offer. Commercially the film didn€™t break even on its astronomical budget of $150 million but the film actually won The Academy Award for Best Makeup. This may be a more controversial choice, but personally I found the film to be painfully boring, bland and uninspired. The film chugs along without any real reason to keep you hanging, in suspense of what will happen next. An extremely average movie that could have been so much more.
