Ranking Every Major MCU Villain From Worst To Best

13. Ronan The Accuser (Guardians Of The Galaxy)

Red Skull
Marvel Studios

Guardians of the Galaxy was Marvel's "Little Engine That Could" - fans were stunned when it was announced that the property was being adapted, but as the release date drew near, more and more encouraging media from the movie got out. When the movie was released, audiences saw that it was an excellent film with great characters, a sense of humor, and a heart.

Unfortunately, the one area in which the film fell short was with the villain, Kree judge/jury/executioner Ronan the Accuser. Ronan was initially a Fantastic Four villain, but his nobility led him to take on a heroic role during the Annihilation War, ultimately placing him as ruler of the Kree and one of the publisher's most unlikely heroes. In the film, he was a lot like Malekith - strong and silent, causing destruction with little to no motivation shown.

Ronan didn't need to become a hero in the movie, but some explanation behind his actions - like a show of his devotion to Kree law and society - might have gone a long way.
