Star Wars Episode 7: 5 Canon-Friendly Casting Choices

1. Josh Hutcherson As Ben Skywalker

2the hunger games I know what lots of you are thinking: €œReally? Just have another Skywalker kid? Where€™s this idiot€™s imagination?€ But hear me out on this one. Luke Skywalker€™s son is actually the ideal protagonist of Episode VII. Right from the start, Mr Lucas said that the new films would be about Luke passing on the torch, and who better to pass it to than his own son? Also, he€™s the closest thing to a Joss Whedon Star Wars character! (Seriously, look at some of his dialogue in the Fate of the Jedi series). After seeing The Hunger Games, I reckon Josh Hutcherson is probably a good bet, given a clear enough physical resemblance to how the character already looks, and he has shown to be able to portray the innocent archetypal protagonist (The Polar Express) or a troubled young Jedi born into a life of responsibility and hardship. Not to mention that he will already have worked with writer Michael Ardnt on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, so you never know! Mind you, as I€™ve probably proved, my knowledge of the Star Wars Expanded Universe is greater than my knowledge of the film industry, so if any of you can think of anything better, don€™t hesitate post your comments. After all, who knows who might read them and get some ideas? May the Force be with you all! Agree or disagree with this article? Let us know in the comments section below.
