Star Wars Episode 9: 8 Predictions For The Sequel's Title

7. The Knights Of Ren

The lack of the Knights of Ren was one of a number of issues The Last Jedi's detractors had with the film, so titling a film around them would be an indication that Abrams was really looking to get those fans onside.

More than that, though, is there's reason to believe the group will have a big role to play in Episode IX. Various rumours have suggested as much, and they're a device first introduced into canon by Abrams himself. He reportedly had some big plans for them, and will now have the chance to see them through in this movie.

The title fits with convention, and there's something quite evocative about having 'Knights' in there, which goes back much further than just the Sequel Trilogy given its connection to the Jedi too. It'd signify a lot of Episode IX hinges on Kylo Ren, which is fitting given he's the last Skywalker. The downside, and reason it might not happen, is that it's a bit too specific to a group who haven't had much to do yet, which doesn't fit with ending a nine-movie saga.
