Star Wars: Episode VIII - 8 Things Fans Want (But Won't Get)

Star Wars: The Force Awakens was - generally speaking - a satisfying movie. J.J. Abrams delivered a film that felt true to the original trilogy while simultaneously devising a launchpad for future instalments. Now that the legacy left hanging by Return Of The Jedi all those years ago has been well and truly catered to, Episode VIII - set to be directed by Looper's Rian Johnson - can take the franchise into new and uncharted territories. Because, good as The Force Awakens was, it still left fans hankering for more. It had the feeling of a movie that had to work through a bunch of stuff in order to pave the way for the juicy bits. Which means that now the saga is primed and positioned to give fans of Star Wars what they really want; a movie that lives up to all their expectations. That doesn't mean, however, that Episode VIII is going to deliver everything that Star Wars fans are hoping and praying for. There are certain things that probably won't end up being in the movie, even though they probably ought to be. Things that don't necessarily relate to the narrative, either (such as crew members who should be involved but won't be). Here, then, are eight things that most fans would probably like to see in Star War: Episode VIII, but - for one reason or another - they most likely won't get....
