Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 8 Batsh*t Crazy Theories About Supreme Leader Snoke

No, he's probably not Darth Vader.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has left fans of the franchise with a lot of unanswered questions, and that has inevitably led to a long list of fan theories attempting to answer them. Some have come from big publications, while others stem from individual fans and have spread over social media, but they each have one thing in common: They're all batsh*t crazy! That's particularly true for those pertaining to Supreme Leader Snoke, a villain with a small, but extremely memorable role in The Force Awakens. His motivations are still a mystery for the most part, and while the J.J. Abrams helmed release did at least made it clear that he's the one pulling the strings of both Kylo Ren and The First Order, pretty much everyone remains convinced that there's more to Snoke than meets the eye. As a result, there are a lot of really bizarre and downright hilarious theories in regards to the "real" identity of Supreme Leader Snoke, and these are the eight best (or should that be most insane?).

8. He's Really The Operator (Who?!)

Depending on how much you've delved into the additional material for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, chances are you probably won't have heard of The Operator. The character was first mentioned in the post Return Of The Jedi tie-in novel Star Wars: Aftermath, which revealed that Admiral Ackbar has an informant known only by this moniker who feeds him classified information on what's left of the Imperials. However, we later learn that The Operator is the Admiral of the last Super Star Destroyer and that he was feeding Ackbar information which led to the elimination of those who could oppose him from taking control of what's left of the Empire. His plan is to create a new organisation - obviously The First Order - so could this novel have shed some light on the humble beginnings of Supreme Leader Snoke? Probably not. It's already been confirmed that Snoke was around throughout the Clone Wars and this Imperial is never described as being elderly. It's also hard to figure out how this manipulative Admiral would go from forming The First Order to becoming a scarred and ravaged Sith dispensing advice to Kylo Ren, and so opposing theories that The Operator is likely General Hux's father seem much easier to buy into.

Josh Wilding hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
