Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 8 Major Revelations From The Filmmakers

J.J. Abrams spills the beans on character deaths, plot holes, Episode VIII, and more!

Due to the massive level of secrecy which surrounded Star Wars: The Force Awakens (something that led to a long list of insane rumours), junket interviews all took place before critics had seen the movie. The problem with that was that it means the questions put to J.J. Abrams and the cast were pretty much identical to what we've seen over the past two years and offered no insight into the movie whatsoever. While that may have been good news for those avoiding spoilers, it also led to the assumption that we wouldn't get any decent spoiler talk until the release of the DVD and Blu-ray (which will hopefully include a director's commentary along with some revealing featurettes). Shockingly, that's proved not to be the case, as everyone from director J.J. Abrams to writers Lawrence Kasdan and Michael Arndt, and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy have all taken part in various Q&As and interviews over the past few days, shedding plenty of light on Star Wars: The Force Awakens' biggest and best moments. Pretty much all of the lingering questions the movie has left us with have now been answered, with Abrams and company spilling the beans on scraped story plans, massive character cameos, and even some hints about what's to come in Rian Johnson's Episode VIII eighteen months from now. Needless to say, massive spoilers from Star Wars: The Force Awakens follow...
