The Theory

Many have tipped Supreme Leader Snoke's pawn Kylo Ren to go full circle and return to the right side of the Force, but what if he's already there?

This credible theory proposes that Ren is the Severus Snape of the Star Wars universe, sent over to the enemy camp to infiltrate it from within.

The Evidence

It's questionable that the offspring of Leia and Han would go anywhere near the Dark Side, regardless of his Vader DNA, but the evidence is more than circumstantial.

The theory argues that there's weighty subtext during that final confrontation between Ren and his father, in which he tells Han he feels like he's being torn apart inside.

Could this be his subtle way of informing his family that he turned his back on them for the greater good, without giving the game away? All could be revealed when he encounters Uncle Luke in The Last Jedi.

There are other scenes in The Force Awakens that add credence to this school of thought, like the fact Ren had the opportunity to kill Finn but merely incapacitated him, albeit it violently, and his ongoing inner turmoil.

We know Kylo is awe of granddaddy Vader, but what if 'finishing what he started' refers to the moment Anakin threw the Emperor into the Death Star's reactor shaft?
