The Batman: Could Robin Appear With Robert Pattinson's New Dark Knight?

The return of the Boy Wonder in Matt Reeves' reboot?

Could we be about to see the return of the Boy Wonder to the Batman movie universe?

Last we saw of Robin - and Dick Grayson specifically - he was played by Chris O'Donnell in Joel Schumacher's notorious Batman & Robin and despite that Easter Egg gag at the end of The Dark Knight Rises and his costume appearing in the DCEU after his death, he's been absent ever since. That might change with Matt Reeves' The Batman, though.

Now that Robert Pattinson's Batman has now been officially confirmed by Warner Bros, much to the chagrin of many a vocal fan, we can start to look at how Reeves will populate the rest of his movie and it might start with a new Robin.

Rumour has it - according to Forbes at least - that Batman's long-time sidekick will return joining a cast supposedly also including Catwoman and The Penguin (and maybe even The Riddler too). At this stage, it's nowhere near a concrete revelation, but it would be great to see a new take on the character after O'Donnell's version was so derided.

Whether it would be Dick Grayson remains to be seen, because we could easily see Reeves turn to Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown or Carrie Kelley. Damian Wayne's probably the only one we can rule out firmly, given that he's Batman's real son.
