The Hateful Eight Script Leak: 8 Spoilers From Quentin Tarantino's Western

Sadly, Tarantino has thrown a tantrum, and we're not going to get to see it, but The Hateful Eight was going to be awesome...

Hateful Eight A The hearts of film buffs the world over broke this week when Quentin Tarantino announced that due to his script for upcoming project The Hateful Eight being leaked by an overzealous agent, he would be cancelling the project altogether and instead publishing it as a book. However, it didn't take long for the film's full script to appear online (and though I won't link to it, it's very easy to find), and the net nerds have been busy reading, analysing and dissecting every line of dialogue. The saddest thing about this 146-page script (dated December 12th, 2013) is just how much fun it is to read, and what a great movie it could have been. Its DNA feels most closely rooted to Inglourious Basterds, particularly the lengthy, tense tavern scene from that film, yet has aptly already been compared to a play, certainly lacking the exuberance of his last film, Django Unchained. As QT moves on with other projects, we'll have to settle for the script itself, and though I implore you to read through it yourself if you can get your hands on it, here's a summary of the characters and plot for you.
