Tom Hardy Wants To Play James Bond For The Dark Knight Rises Director Chris Nolan

"I'd love to play Bond with Chris Nolan (as a) director or something, it would be awesome."

Tom Hardy has revealed that he would love to play James Bond one day if his Inception and The Dark Knight Rises director Christopher Nolan was at the helm. Hardy, who many fans have suggested would make a great James Bond when Daniel Craig decides to hang up his Walther PPK (though we can't help but feel he would make a better Bond villain), admitted to presenter Verity Geere on the Magic 105.4 Breakfast Show (via IGN) that he would love to take on the iconic Ian Fleming created 007;

Obviously before you get too excited, Hardy's comments don't at all mean that you can expect him to be James Bond in 2014 or anything like that but it is a nice admission from the actor that he very much wants to continue working with Chris Nolan in the future and would be interested in playing Bond one day. Nolan in the past has revealed that he would love to direct a Bond movie and we have no doubt he will be high on Sony Pictures, MGM and EON productions wanted list of potential helmers for future 007 movies. Though don't expect Hardy to be Bond if that ever happens. The Bond producers recently offered Daniel Craig a lucrative long-term picture deal that would tie down Craig for another FIVE movies as 007 after his third outing €œSkyfall€ opens next October (UK) and November (US). Although we never heard if he had agreed to the deal, we do know the Bond producers are desperate for him to be the character for the rest of this decade.
