Top 10 Film Scenes of White People Dancing to Black Music

9. Stepmom

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BVbV0CzeyI Chris Columbus's pre-millennial, first-world problems trilogy (including Mrs. Doutbfire and Nine Months) came to an end with the tearjerker Stepmom in 1998. While a solid film, it receives a lot of flak for its heavy handedness in the drama department with the perfect storm of bad stuff happening all at the same time (divorce, cancer, mom issues, peer pressure, necrophilia, etc.) However, there were times when the hurricane of bad luck subsided and some sunshine broke through. Namely, a scene where Susan Sarandon playing the terminal ill Jackie shares one last dance with her two children to the tune of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. There is no practiced choreography here, just joyous (and awkward) goofiness . Extra points for Susan Sarandon, who is beautiful even when ravaged by cancer.

Raymond Woods is too busy watching movies to give you a decent bio. If he wasn't too busy watching movies and reading books about movies and listening to podcasts about movies, this is what he'd tell you. "I know more about film than you. Accept this as a fact and we might be able to talk."
