17. Missing Toy References

There are a number of toys conspicuously absent in Toy Story 4, especially all those who decided to remain in Sunnyside at the end of the previous film, though there are a couple of cute nods to some of the characters who sadly didn't make the cut.

In the first act of the movie, gaze across Bonnie's bedroom and you'll see a drawing of the Peas-in-a-Pod on her wall, while once the gang makes it to the fairground, there's a purple octopus ride that bears an unmistakable resemblance to Stretch (Whoopi Goldberg), Sunnyside's resident purple octopus in Toy Story 3.

Considering that the Toy Story "universe" is now overflowing with toys, it follows that the fourth film couldn't find room for all of them, so this is a neat little consolation prize regardless.
