10. Don't Underestimate Her Tastes
If 40% of the whole of the gaming world is female, chances are that there is something in the mix that is appealing to them. Now, I am not one for the whole "Men are from Mars, Women from Venus" sort of malarkey, but I will admit that different people respond to different things. Its in our disposition- not just because of gender, but also because of socio-economic background, cultural background and a whole myriad of other things. It would be wrong therefore to presume to know which sort of games that your girlfriend would like (I am now going to call the person you are trying to convince you girlfriend for simplicity's sake). Don't think you're the only one that is doing this, however. Much has been made of the fact that big game conglomerates seem to be entrenched with the idea that games are somehow made just for 18-25 year old man-boys and the rest of the audience can just be dragged along for the ride- despite
the fact women represent the fastest growing section of the gaming market. My point is that if you can explain a game cogently which has something that may appeal to her, then she may be willing to give it a go.
