2014 is nearly over and every gamer under the sun should be drawing together their Game Of The Year lists, reflecting on the highlights and disregarding the low points of the year. Of particular interest are the games that lived up to the hype and were successful despite major anticipation and pressure; after all, many games nowadays are awarded accolades and acclaim before they've even left development - that's the nature of the beast. With a number of major series returning in 2015, there's already a massive variety of games, which will inevitably be fondly remembered come award season next year. With the likes of Metal Gear Solid, Halo and Uncharted releasing on next-gen platforms, there's definitely going to be a lot of competition for those awards. It might seem a bit premature to hand out awards for 2015 games at this stage (after all, a year is a long time) but barring any major upsets, it's quite easy to predict how certain games will perform, especially when the reputation and skill of the developers is considered. Admittedly, some games are still wide open to speculation, thanks to a lack of details, but the ten games on this list should all be picking up major awards this time next year.
