10 Legendary Video Game Myths That Fooled Us All

9. Bigfoot Existed In San Andreas

Of the many great hoaxes existing around GTA games, the most legendary is that of Bigfoot - the upright primate that's the subject of the greatest real-life myths as well as in video games. Bigfoot is said to roam the mountainous area between Los Santos and San Fierro, a classically spooky backwater of San Andreas filled with forests, abandoned cabins and even a cave near Mount Chiliad, where the creature is thought to reside. He's been described pretty much as you'd expect Bigfoot to be - a large, neanderthal-looking creature with long arms and a hairy body. Rockstar's Terry Donovan said in 2005 that "There is no Bigfoot, just like in real life", but went on to say that "there is something in the woods", which of course triggered conspiracy nuts to continue searching for the elusive creature. While Bigfoot's existence in San Andreas is unlikely, he's been modded into the game courtesy of mods - which is how we obtained that poetic picture you see above.
