10 Mature Film Franchises That Would Make Great LEGO Video Games

9. The Die Hard Boxset

There's no denying that the final two films don't add much to the Die Hard film canon; bigger doesn't necessarily mean better. (See also: The Expendables 3.)

That being said, Die Hard would make an excellent mature LEGO title. Self-deprecating John McClane is no stranger to the world of video games, with PlayStation title Die Hard Trilogy offering action, light gun gameplay and screaming around the Big Apple a whole five years before Grand Theft Auto III showed up.

What's more, LEGO City's Chase McCain is definite nod to the classic film franchise, and that game drops many-a clever movie reference through cutscenes and missions.

The range of gameplay options and locations from Die Hard would definitely suit an 18-rated LEGO game, especially the original trilogy. Hostage rescue, walking on broken glass in Nakatomi Plaza...shootouts on snowmobiles outside airports and terse radio messages...Samuel L. Jackson shouting obscenities and explosions aplenty: LEGO Die Hard would be a miniature modern action classic!
