Bomberman is an absolute classic. Forget about that weird, futuristic instalment on the Xbox 360, Super Bomberman R is going to be vintage Bomberman at its finest.

There’s of course going to be the standard multiplayer mode, running around the playing field collecting power-ups and setting traps for you opponents, all whilst dodging enemy fire.

Each of the characters have their own distinct animations and personalities, and you’re seemingly going to be able to customise each of them with unlockable cosmetic items. There’s even going to be a story mode, if you can believe it, with narrated cutscenes, and you can play it alone or with a friend. It’s not necessarily the main reason to play Bomberman in the first place, but it’s certainly another reason to be excited for it.
