9. Lava Core - Divinity: Original Sin

Most RPG bosses tend to be immune to exploits and shenanigans. If you want to make them look a fool, you have to use mods or console commands to do it. That wasn’t the case in Divinity: Original Sin, whose imposing final boss could be killed in one hit, as could, theoretically, any other enemy in the game.

In Divinity, lava is capable of killing any and all enemies without fail. So when one player discovered that it was possible to create lava, using the one-time-use Lava Core scroll, even the game’s developers were surprised.

They were even more shocked to learn that The Void Dragon, the game’s final boss and pièce de résistance, could be reduced to a bubbling pile of molten bones in no time at all. So long as players hoard the Lava Core until the end of the game, they get a free pass to the credits, pretty much rendering the last 60+ hours of grinding and levelling redundant at the last hurdle.
