Its being another year of highs and lows in the video game industry. To be honest, thereve been mostly lows because the highs were about as elevated as a single step on a cracked staircase. Now the year isnt over obviously being December 10th, and I know there are one or two more games that are going to wash up on our shores, but in the grand schemes of things, its totally sucked to be a gamer in 2012. Here's ten reasons why;
10. The Summer Games Drought
The Summer Games Drought like most years is a horrible period to weather because all the developers hold back the rest of their triple A titles until the last two quarters of the year. They do this because (apparently) everyone is out enjoying the warm toasty Sun and dont have time for blinking blooping video games. I of all people know this isnt true because being a gamer and misanthropic; I am opposed to spending any lengthy periods of time outside and desire time alone. Normally, like a nervous squirrel I collect my game nuts in preparation for this time of year, but this year (because the releases were so poor, which Ill elaborate on later) I spent my time re-playing some of my older titles and watching Peep Show.
