8. Death Stranding
Are we ever really going to know what Death Stranding is about? Doubtful.
After a series of really exciting and bizarre trailers, you’d expect to know at least a little bit about Death Stranding but everything from its story to its gameplay is really mysterious right now.
If the trailers are anything to go by, Death Stranding is about toenail abuse(?!), package delivery and weird shadowy creatures that somehow create time travel bubbles for you? Sounds like Kojima.
With Death Stranding it’s been a lot of tell and don’t show. We’ve heard it’s an open-world game, but we don’t really have any evidence of that. Is there combat? Sam wields a gun so possibly?
As brilliant as most of Kojima's games have been, we still need to know something to start getting excited.
Admittedly part of the fun of Death Stranding is the mystery surrounding it, but at this point, it’s probably ready to show something other than the celebrity characters.
