14. Batman Begins

Batman begins
DC

Despite being inevitably laden with the movie tie-in curse, Batman Begins was actually extremely well put together. Surprisingly featuring a number of mechanics that Arkham Asylum would later be congratulated with 'inventing', Begins is entirely based on the movie of the same name, with clips of the film and the full cast reprising their roles.

Batman Begins not only had tons of crouching, stealth takedowns and on-screen HUD elements telling you how terrified a given room of goons were, but you could also fell enemies with flashy finishing blows and take the Batmobile out in a mode that played just like Burnout Takedown.

Emerging in 2005, long before Rocksteady would completely dominate with their take on the character, this was a window into what a moodier, more mechanically proficient Bat would look, feel and play like. Eurocom might not have nailed every aspect, but with EA's substantial budget and some solid mechanics, there was a lot to love in this now forgotten-about tie-in.
