15 Brutally Difficult Video Games That Totally Broke You

14. Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! (1987)

A lot of this NES classics hard game reputation comes from the final level of the game where Little Mac (the player character) must take on the baddest man on the planet himself, Mike Tyson. Iron Mike is near unbeatable and when it was released, in the age before YouTube gaming channels and Yahoo answers, players simply couldn't find a way to negate Tyson's one-punch knockouts or his flurry of jabs in the second round. The added difficulty of the game comes from the fact that you can't save your progress, you just have to do it all in one go (unless you have a certain skip code) which is fine throughout the majority of the game until you run in to Tyson. There aren't many people have been able to master the final battle, making it one of the gaming communities most difficult and sought after challenges.

I've loved all things sport since I was old enough to know what sport was and am a big fan of terrible jokes. I get into some Gaming in my spare time and writing articles about the things I love to watch and play.
