15 Greatest Steam Video Games Of The 2000s

Half-Life 2? Deus Ex? Unreal Tournament? Only one can take the top spot.

Throughout the years, Steam has (almost) always been a great, reliable service for games and software. The granddaddy of PC gaming, when it first graced our computers in the early 2000s, it quickly became the primary location to purchase games on the platform. Although competitors like Origin and Uplay have cropped up over the years, trying to entice users in with games exclusive to their company, Steam still remains the king of the mountain.

With it being such a huge service, there would inevitably be an onslaught of games available through it, and it alone.

Although these mainly came about during the 2010s, there still have been a number of exclusives during the noughties, which this list will rank. Any Steam exclusive counts, however if a game was released on PC and then ported to consoles on a later date, then it's also acceptable, but not vice-versa.

The list is placed in order, depending on several things. These include critic and Steam user reviews, general sales success and fan reception. All 15 of these games are very much worth your time and money, no matter which order. So without further ado, these are the top 15 Steam games of the 2000s.

Fred hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here. Maybe. It might be over there. We're not really sure.
