20 Best Gamecube Games Of All Time

5. Super Smash Bros. Melee

NintendoNintendoAfter the surprise success of the original Smash Bros, Nintendo decided to bring back a bigger and better sequel to their loveable purple console. Featuring better graphics, an expanded roster and of course more of the same great gameplay, Melee cemented the Smash Bros series as a truly must own multiplayer classic. While some may turn their nose up at its lack of story mode, the game's near perfect mechanics and incredibly diverse fighters made this game something that you'd come back to time and time again. To many, this was a disc that was rarely moved from the console's disc tray, as Melee was a local multiplayer game that soon became a party tradition. A classic in the purest sense of the word, and one that is still played in tournament halls and living rooms around the world to this day.
