20 Predictions For 2017 Video Games' Metacritic Scores

5. Detroit: Become Human (75)

Red Dead Redemption Metacritic
Quantic Dream

Quantic Dream's games to date (Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls) have received strong-to-solid acclaim so far, though it's also safe to say that fans and critics alike are losing patience with director David Cage's sometimes inane writing style (hence Beyond scoring a somewhat disappointing 72).

Detroit certainly looks ambitious, visually stunning and well-acted, which has been said about pretty much every QD game to date. It all depends on whether or not the story makes sense or instead goes totally off the rails at the end, as every single previous title from the company has.

Still, it'll be lauded for its technical achievements regardless, so expect it to be a solid rental either way.
