7 Best WWE Video Games For Recreating The Royal Rumble

Even better than the real thing!

royal rumble let's rumble With the Royal Rumble only a matter of days away, WWE gamers all around the world will be turning their attentions to some mandatory fantasy booking. The Rumble is a special show for WWE as it brings the curtain up on the new year and is guaranteed to happen just once a year. This lack of regularity means it never loses its luster and is arguably WWE's second biggest pay per view behind WrestleMania. The importance the Rumble holds in the hearts of all the WWE Universe means the company that produces WWE's annual game, alongside Vince McMahon et al, has to nail the 30 man over the top rope spectacular. Whether it be as part of a career mode, or just in an exhibition scenario, the game's Rumble needs to be compelling, exciting and not overly complicated. This is a major criticism for WWE's games and their respective Royal Rumbles. In recent years, while other matches are kept very simple, The Royal Rumble is given all sorts of tweaks and fixes that don't need to be made. So much so that in most of the recent titles, you can't even clothesline your opponents over the top rope, something you'll see at least 10 times in the real life version. For a game series that is trying to become as realistic and lifelike as possible, they really do mess up when it comes to the Rumble. Here are seven WWE titles that got things spot on, or as close as possible, in their version of the Rumble match.
