Media Molecule have a creative history. Their franchise, LittleBigPlanet, was one of the first truly stellar exclusive experiences on the PS3 and helped showcase how a game can give development tools to players and let them go wild. Now, the studio has turned to Dreams, their mysterious creation tool game that has been in development for a long time. First revealed in 2013, Dreams has been shown off a number of times and has always left gamers scratching their heads.

The game takes the create and play aspect of LittleBigPlanet and blows it up to enormous proportions. Many were worried when Media Molecule fell silent about the project for a while - every trailer was abstract and it was difficult to comprehend the nature of the game itself. Nowadays, Media Molecule is showing the game liberally and the true scope of its ambition has been revealed.

The game is supposed to be releasing this year, but a beta was scheduled for 2016 and that still hasn't taken place yet. Nonetheless, Dreams' ambition is what's really exciting people. Not only that, but Dreams is going to be compatible with PSVR and many are hoping it's a true killer app for the headset.
