5. Concrete Genie

Revealed at Paris Games Week in 2017, Concrete Genie is a tender, artful third-person game that looks to tackle the topic of childhood bullying through a stunningly gorgeous art style. The game sees a young boy making his way through a bleak, murky urban environment. When he finds a magical paintbrush, he is able to decorate the world with wonder and colour through art.

As the main character, Ash, the game makes the most of the intricacies of the Dualshock 4 - you paint the environment using the motion sensors, for instance, to guide your brush. Concrete Genie looks to be exactly the kind of artistic, moral-driven game that Sony has so often helped push throughout the years. The game is developed by PixelOpus, the same company that released Entwined during Sony's 2014 E3 conference.

Designed to incite an emotional connection, Concrete Genie looks to take inspiration from other artistic classics such as Okami. Part-puzzler, part-platformer, Concrete Genie takes you on a journey with Ash through the medium of art to retrieve the scattered pages of his lost sketchbook. It may just steal your heart.
