6. Spurs - Mass Effect

Call Of Duty Man Utd
Bioware/Tottenham Hotspur

Reading this might be as painful for Mass Effect fans as it was for Spurs fans watching Eden Hazard run riot and hand the title to Leicester three years ago. Or watching Toby Alderweireld capitulate against West Ham two years ago. Or cringing as Dele Alli did the floss in their FA Cup defeat to Chelsea last year. You get the point.

Spurs and Mass Effect share some amazing individual talents. For Shepard, Garrus, Tali and Liara, read Kane, Alli, Eriksen and Son. For the forgettable Jacob, read Moussa Sissoko.

But those talents on the pitch have added up to precisely diddly squat these last few years in terms of trophies. The term bottle jobs has been flung around and not without merit.

And no one is accusing Shepard themselves of bottling it against the Reapers the way Spurs did against Juventus (last one, promise), but can you honestly play through the tragically inept A, B, C ending of Mass Effect and not feel like your team’s just skied the last penalty in the shootout?
