8 Reasons The Xbox One Will Dominate The PS4 In 2016

Microsoft have listened, the Xbox One is changing, and the console war tide is turning.

This generation's console war is hardly the riveting back-and-forth showdown that we were graced with last gen. In fact, given that as of this moment PS4 sales nearly double those of the Xbox One (51% to 28% market share), it can hardly be called a war at all - more of a one-sided beatdown like Rocky's first fight with Clubber Lang. But we all know what happened in the rematch, don't we? The PS4 definitely deserved its early successes, or more accurately, the Xbox One deserved its sound beating. From perplexing decisions that Microsoft had to u-turn on, such as being always online and bundling the Kinect in with all consoles, to a games line-up that has so far shown few signs of exclusivity, the Xbox One has flat-out turned off the gaming public. But over the last several months, Microsoft has shown that it's listening to fans' (and detractors') complaints, making big changes to the console; some of these were previously thought unachievable while others, like accepting that everyone hates the Kinect and unbundling it from the Xbox One, have been a long time coming. The Xbox One is about to get a makeover (not externally, unfortunately) of the sort that no console has ever before gone through in the middle of its life-cycle. Big, sweeping changes are coming, and there's a strong case to be made that in 2016 it will become a better console than the PS4 all-round, closing the sales gap and emerging victorious once again.
