Crysis 3: 10 Reasons It's Awesome

9. Prophet

003 One of my major bugbears about the Crysis franchise to date is that very little attempt has been made to develop any of the characters beyond being awesome badass guys in suits. They come from the Master Chief school of having a stiff upper-lip, presuming that their actions say more than their words ever could; the problem is that after three games, you've really got to give us something. And thankfully, Crytek have found a perfect niche for the symbiotic Prophet/Alcatraz character, allowing him to reach his most iconic pedestal yet. Prophet is far more vocal in this third game, spouting quote-worthy dialogue and some particularly memorable banter when interacting with old buddy Psycho. It's a testament to the great voice acting and a script that actually gives them something to do that Crysis 3 is by far the most humanistic of the three games, and therefore the most emotionally and dramatically involving.
