8. Down: Disproportionate Enemy Strength

Reviews for the game have frequently pointed out the game's brutal toughness, and while it does seem to be exaggerated, it's likely a big part of this complaint stems from the game's imbalance with certain enemy's strength. It's not as clear if this problem's as frequent on lower difficulties, but once you hit Apocalyptic, you'll be thrown off entirely by an easygoing enemy who then takes you down within three seconds.

Random skeleton enemies hitting you with a metal club can kill you in three hits. A frame of reference: One of the Seven Deadly Sins boss battles needed the same amount of hits to kill you, and they have a giant flaming sword. It's easy not to notice it right away, but once you progress further and further, enemies begin taking you out with too much ease.

Going beyond just difficult encounters, it feels like certain opponents are too strong, sometimes being on-par with side bosses (and there's five of them approaching you at once). An issue that could certainly be fixed by a patch, but developer Gunfire Games needs to recognize it.
