E3 2013: Who Had The Best Press Conference Out Of The Four Showing?

PS4 That was certainly something. The day before the actual E3 starts is the day that the Press Conferences happen, and today's was probably the most explosive in a long while. I am not just saying that for flavour text either. With the sun of a new console generation on the horizon, the slightly underhand jabs that we are used to seeing from Sony and Microsoft turned into definite body blows over the course of the day. It was showy, big and almost certainly expensive, with the four press conferences today were really the these massive gaming corporations putting on a show to try and catch all of our attention. Microsoft went big, Sony went brutal, Ubisoft relied on its previously announced titles and EA showed a surprising amount of interesting games as well as its usual suspects. As I had predicted, the revelations from today have real ramifications for the medium now as well as its future and it has set up a very interesting dynamic. Microsoft have certainly been buddying up with the publishers and Sony are very clearly buddying up with the consumers. It is going to be a genuinely fascinating to watch it play out, even if it is certainly looking one sided at this very second. I am in LA at the moment and I had the pleasure of hopping around the city to catch each Press Conference, with the exception of the Ubisofts'.
