Fallout 4: 10 Key Lessons From 2013's Biggest Games

We've been long overdue an announcement on Fallout 4 for a long time now: it's been almost 3-and-a-half years since New Vegas was released, but Bethesda have remained extremely curt about letting any information on the game, which we know is in development, slip. On one hand, there's the benefit of allowing the new generation of gaming to settle with gamers a little more before teasing the game, but fans of the series are quickly becoming impatient with the muted response from the developer, which has merely settled for "I think it's gonna be a while". In the mean time, we're left to fantasise about what Fallout 4 has the potential to be, and what better place to look than the recent hits of 2013? 2013 was arguably one of the best years that the video game medium has ever seen, with at least two solid-gold classics for the ages, along with several clever reinterpretations of classic franchises, and a few remarkable IPs as well. These games made vital statements about how to succeed in the gaming industry, and for the next-gen Fallout 4, Bethesda would do well to pay attention to these recipes for success. Are there any other lessons, good or bad, that Fallout 4 could learn from last year's games? Let us know in the comments!
