Fallout 4: 7 Huge DLC Rumors And Possible Locations

Lovecraftian cults, Underwater vaults or a one-way trip to the moon? Take your pick.

Fallout 4 Review It already feels like an age since the explosive launch of Fallout 4, and many are now familiar with the Boston Wasteland's cities, vaults and hidden corners. That's not to say that fans have seen all there is to see, but as we approach 2016, it's time to start piecing together the information around what we can expect in the new year. Bethesda have an excellent track record of DLC with their RPGs (they've come a long way since Oblivion's Horse Armor). Fallout 3 and New Vegas had five and four DLC packs respectively, featuring whole new locations, intriguing new storylines that in some cases fed back into the main quest, and an array of new perks and weapons. There's no reason to think Bethesda shouldn't meet their own high DLC bar with Fallout 4, and there are already hints in the base game about where the add-on content could take place. Here are the latest rumours surrounding possible DLC content, as well as other locations it could take place based on things discovered in the game.

7. Underwater Vaults

Right from when the Fallout 4 map was first revealed, players have been speculating on why so much of it was taken up by the North Atlantic Ocean. The obvious answer to this would be that Boston is located on the Atlantic. But when the game came out, players quickly took to exploring the depths surrounding Boston, and found plenty of little signs that we could see a DLC set underwater. The ocean floor has been designed with a surprisingly high level of detail by Bethesda, with distinctive flora, pipelines, and something that maybe, just maybe, could be the entrance to an underwater vault. This has raised questions of why the team would've put in so much effort into designing the underwater sections if they weren't planning on utilising them in the future. The video below has stoked the speculation, by showing a sphere attached to an underwater pipeline that appears to have some semi-covered writing on it. What do you think? Are Bethesda going to take advantage of all that underwater real estate and give Fallout 4 an underwater DLC? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUac6Olr_8k
