Fallout 4: 7 Huge DLC Rumors And Possible Locations

6. The Moon (Sea Of Tranquility Conflict)

What with spacecraft having been all but decimated in the Fallout universe (aside from the occasional UFO), it wouldn't be easy to create an excuse for the Sole Survivor to go to the moon. But the fact that the moon-based Sea of Tranquility Conflict between the US and China was only mentioned for the first time in Fallout 4 gives us some hope that it could yet happen. A mural at the Museum of Freedom in Concord commemorates those who laid down their lives in war at the Sea of Tranquility among other places. The Sea of Tranquility is the name of a vast plain on the moon, though there's no explanation for why a conflict would've occurred there. While several moon landings happened in the Fallout universe well into the 21st century, there's little info on what happened there after the Resource Wars started in 2052. Such a DLC would need to be framed either as an Operation Anchorage-style simulation or simply as a non-canonical event outside of the main story - like the alien-abduction Mothership Zeta DLC of Fallout 3. Either way, exploring ruined moon-bases (or maybe inhabited ones?) would be a fascinating thing to do in a Fallout 4 DLC, and there's a glimmer of hope that it could happen!
