Fallout 5: 10 Ways To Blow Fallout 4 Out The Water

10. Multiple Endings Fully Manipulated By Choice

At first glance, Fallout 4 has four specific endings in total, with each ending decided by the player's alliance to one of the four factions in the game. Unfortunately, most of them end with an all-too-similar result with your character and your chosen faction taking down the opposing faction, followed by some destruction of property. Each faction certainly feels different, but the endings don't have the expected variance.

With F5, it's time we have an ending that truly feels controlled and manipulated by the player's choices. Whether that may be a last minute betrayal due to the mistreatment of one companion or the death of a companion due to poor judgment, our choices need to remain relevant during the entire campaign.

Imagine endings so varied and potentially drastic that are fully manipulated by the player. The thought of too many evil decisions leading to the potential end of the Wasteland or many good decisions leading to an actual 'happy ending' is rather enticing. It's important that Bethesda rewards player decisions by allow multiple endings while holding back the urge to streamline the supposed 'unique' endings with too-similar conclusions. Also, if we could avoid end-game slideshows, that would be a step in the right direction.
