With FIFA 13 set to be released at the end of next month, gamers everywhere have been treated to a variety of announcements from EA Sports recently. Here are the 5 things we already know about Fifa 13′s excitingly revamped Career Mode.
FIFA 13 will be released on the 25th September in the United States, Australia however will have to wait till the 27th and Europe the 28th.
5. International Manager Mode
When you delve into the managerial mode and attempt to take a small team to great heights, if you succeed you will earn reputation.
Normally your reputation wouldn’t count for much but now in FIFA 13 as your reputation grows so does your chance of being offered an international job as well as still managing your club side.
Not only does your reputation count but so too does your nationality and the league you are based in. It will be unlikely to manage Manchester City as an English manager and be offered the Spain job.
4. Live Score Updates
FIFA 13′s manager mode will now be more realistic than ever, with live score updates throughout your games.
Lets say you are controlling Manchester United against Sunderland it’s the 93rd minute and you’re just about to win the league, all of a sudden Geoff Shreeves says:
“Goal at the Eithad, Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero scores a last minute winner to make it 3-2, 93 minutes played.”
For all Manchester United fans (like myself) we can turn these off in the settings.

OH MY GOD I CAN NOT WAIT TO PLAY CARRER MODE NOW SOUNDS AMAZING GOING TO KEEP ME HOOKED ON FIFA SO MUCH NOW INSTEAD OF GETTING BORED DOING THE SAME OLD THING. WELL DONE FIFA TEAM :D . THIS WILL KEEP ME HAPPY IN MY WARM ROOM WHEN WINTER HITS UK.! BRING ON FIFA 13 .
still not enough.
i want to be able to train my players in specific areas. like defending, crossing, ball skills etc.
player growth is also a joke. a player can have a great season and decline! players didnt grow until certain ages anhd its all pre-defined. if danny welbeck has a great season for me he should grow according to how he did, not some chart created by EA.
career mode last year was garbage. im not even sure i will bother this year with fifa. i dont want to play online against hyperactive racist teens who dont know how to play actual football. so career mode in the only mode i play unless mates come around.
I have to agree with you, I would rather play Footie manager, so many option.
Joe – the changes are tiny and wont make much difference IMO
Matt Robinson – i like to actually play the game myself though. cant be arsed with just watching the action.
I was paying messi 400,000 a week then the comentator said his head may have been turned by the thought of more money at another club . The board decided to sell him to man city and they only paid him 250,000 a week . Pure stupid! I did enjoy the career mode though. What I cant stand is whem l’m online and up 5 goals the opponent ( aka wee daft idiot ) cuts the connection. EA will have to suspend people for this kind of behavior in future otherwise whats the point?
big dave: Yes, what’s the point of playing when the score is 5-0?
Having not bothered to buy FIFA 12 and stick with 11, (I refuse to buy it every year) I am definately looking forward to this one. I just hope I can wait until september
