It is little surprise that the art team decided to use the Newcastle stadium (whose new "official" name I won't use here), with the 52,000 plus seater stadium cutting an impressive figure both in the landscape of the city - it's one of very few stadiums located in a city centre in England - but also in the Premier League. Unfortunately these days, new stadiums tend to take the identikit, flat-pack approach to design, ignoring important elements like style and character when the blue-prints are drawn up - a trend that St James' has never been affected by. There's also the fact that it's one of the few stadiums these days that isn't littered with glaring clumps of empty seats... What might also please Newcastle fans is the fact that EA Sports have also removed all of the Sports Direct advertising hoardings that now pepper the famous stadium from roof to pitch.
