10. Use Vanguard Heroes First

For Honor features a large roster of twelve unique Heroes to play as. No two are the same, and for that reason it makes sense to learn the easiest first.

You may be convinced to give each different Hero a small amount of time in between each match, but the best way to play is to focus on one at a time. Each Hero takes a different skill level to learn, with Vanguard characters Warden, Raider and Kensei being the easiest to get to grips with. Focus on learning the basics of the game with these guys, before moving onto more difficult choices like Orochi or the Conqueror.

Their overall speed is a nice balance between the plodding heft and nimble footwork of their contemporaries, making them the most well balanced, alongside meaning you have no major gaps in your defence when playing online. For Honor is all about standing your ground and knowing your abilities, so when you feel more confident in these basic mechanics, branch out into more complex heroes.
