I’m about two weeks away from pulling a Cartman; that is, from attempting, somehow, to freeze myself until GTA V is eventually released. Yes, the hype has worked its intoxicating magic on me and I’m considering drastic measures. And if I have some sort of adventure in time along the way, then that’s just an added bonus.

The more I think about what’s in store for us with Rockstar’s new entry into the GTA franchise, the more I discover – I feel like we’re about to have our minds blown once again by Rockstar, and I’m almost frothing at the mouth with anticipation.

There are many, many things to be excited about with the prospect of a new GTA game; from the new city itself, to the characters we’ll meet within, right down to the nitty-gritty details like physics and graphics. Every GTA game released so far represents exponential improvement in all of the above, and those are just the tip of the iceberg.

Here are just 30 – there are more, without a doubt – of the many reasons why you should share our enthusiasm.

30. I’ve Been Driving in my Car…

If there’s one thing GTA taught the gaming world, it’s that cars are as unique and subtly different as even those who drive them. As a result, you’ve always got your favourite; always got that one that you just won’t drive, even if it’s the only car for miles on a stretch of open road.

But half the fun is figuring out which cars those are, out of a roster of many. In GTA V, you can look forward to picking your favourite from a whole new range of vehicles, each with their own little ‘personality’ and from every classification you’d care to imagine.
