GTA V: 5 Reasons Why It's More Than Worth The Wait

5. The Music

To me, there was no better feeling than stepping into a car for the first time on GTA: Vice City and hearing the opening beat of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean". It was truly a magical gaming moment, one that will live long in the memory. I have always felt that the music was one of the main things that has made Grand Theft Auto so immersive. The soundtrack is something that Rockstar have always managed to get right in the GTA series, particularly in Vice City and San Andreas. I think everyone managed to discover something new that they never thought they would enjoy listening to and whenever you hear those songs now, it immediately takes you back. Now in GTA V, we know that there will also be an original score which will be accompanying you as you make your way through the story, which is something that has never been in a GTA game before. Now more than ever, the player will feel totally immersed in the story too. When you think back to Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3, the original score added so much to the game and I think that it will do for GTA V too. I think that this is a huge step in the right direction for GTA, as it will feel less like a normal sandbox game and more like a linear narrative when you are playing your way through. Personally, I think that the radio stations in GTA V will be more expansive than ever. I believe that there will be so many stations and songs, you'll rarely hear the same song twice. There have already been some rumours that artists like Kavinsky will be making an appearance on the radio stations, which makes me think that the radio stations will feel even more immersive than ever too. Who wouldn't want to be driving down the highway in Los Santos whilst "Nightcall" is playing? The prospect is mouthwatering.
