GTA V: 5 Reasons Why Multiple Protagonists Is A Great Idea (And 3 Ways It Could Suck)

5. It Freshens Up The Series

gtav When GTA IV was released in 2008, the Grand Theft Auto series saw a new dawn with more serious, non-cartoon-like graphics which revitalised the series. More life-like physics were incorporated into the game which made for more realistic collisions and fight sequences and it suddenly felt as though we were playing a game completely detached from previous games in the title. The introduction of three protagonists for the first time ever will similarly revitalise the franchise upon release this September and will provide the game with a brand new dynamic we have never seen before. Never before have we had three characters with interweaving storylines to follow and the addition of multiple protagonists really is an exciting new feature for the franchise. When Rockstar North started production on the game, they could very easily have stuck with the tried and tested singular character that we have grown accustomed to throughout the years. Instead, they are pushing the boundaries and breaking the mould and are as a result potentially giving us one of the most exciting Grand Theft Auto games in years.
