GTA V: The First 7 Things You Will Do On The Game

7. Kill A Person

Gta 5 Gun Down There are no two ways around it really. The very first thing you are going to do in the game is just straight up kill an innocent person. It is not unlikely you will have an objective on your screen and some context for that objective. However, at least in the first moment, it probably won't matter to you. You will run up to the first person you see and relieve them of their NPC life. Killing people in Grand Theft Auto holds about as much emotional weight as eating popcorn. You will do it, you may not even realise that you are and within a few seconds there will be a dead pile of polygons at your feet. Maybe you will be lucky enough to start with a Pistol, but if Rockstar are mean enough to not give you a firearm from the off, it is barely going to stop you. A piece of wood, a brick, hell even your fists will do the job. Be it a white guy, black guy, man, woman, old, young, you likely won't discriminate. The first person you see will see will likely be a your very own marked target. To be fair, this isn't an entirely sadistic practice. If you think about it for a few seconds, it actually serves as a learning tool. Knowing the strength and 'consistency' of an NPC actually informs you a great deal about your play. How hard is it to kill someone? How much damage do they take? How effective is one weapon or another? It isn't exactly a tutorial, but maiming that innocent grandmother will actually inform your play throughout your entire play though.
