What needs to change in Injustice 2?

Great news: Injustice 2 is fantastic! The latest fighter from NetherRealm Studios has been a hit with fans and critics alike, garnering great reviews and a positive public reception.

Despite the many fantastic aspects and features of Injustice 2, it's far from perfect. There are several issues present within the game that make the overall experience much less enjoyable than it could be.

Many of these issues have to do with the game's revolutionary gear system, whilst others concern the roster itself and some of the characters that have been implemented into the game.

Luckily, NetherRealm studious are famous for always upgrading and improving upon their games post-launch. This is undoubtedly going to be the case with Injustice 2, with nine different DLC characters confirmed for release after launch.

With that in mind, here are the five biggest issues in Injustice 2 that NetherRealm need to fix in order to make it the best fighting game on the market.

5. Too Many Batman Characters

One of the biggest issues that was highlighted before the game's release is how many Batman characters are in the roster.

Obviously with a character as popular and rich in background as Batman, certain characters are going to be wanted by fans. Unfortunately, Injustice 2 goes too far in this aspect and includes too many Batman heroes and villains.

This would be okay if all of these characters felt like they were needed in the story but that isn't really the case. Villains like Bane and Scarecrow feel a little tacked on in terms of the story and returning characters like Bane haven't even got new movesets to go along with it.

The biggest example of this is the Joker. Joker has no bearing on the story and feels like a waste of a character slot especially because of the reused moveset.

The biggest way that NetherRealm Studous can fix this problem is by including more obscure characters as future DLC. There's no point removing the unnecessary characters now so the perfect solution is to instead add characters like Black Manta and Bizarro. That way, everybody's happy.
