4. No Character Specific Mother Boxes

Do you know how many times I've had Gorilla Grodd gear unlock instead of Robin gear? Too many to even count.

This highlights one of the biggest failings of Injustice 2's mother box system - no character specific boxes. Players will inevitably choose a few characters that they prefer to play over the rest.

Why then, do we have to randomly buy boxes without a clue of who the items will be for? It's the same problem that's present in Overwatch's loot boxes and a true solution still hasn't emerged. Perhaps NetherRealm have the best chance at coming up with a solution.

Because of how important mother boxes are to the economy and gameplay of Injustice 2, it's highly unlikely that they will be removed outright. The best idea to counter the problem would be to introduce character specific mother boxes that include guaranteed items for your chosen character.

This would allow for the credit economy to still be worthwhile whilst also preventing players from getting useless gear.
